Italian Serie A side Napoli are preparing to submit a £50m bid for Chelsea and Liverpool target Federico Chiesa, according to a report on Talksport.
Chelsea have been keeping an eye on Chiesa for some time but are now set to face a tough battle with Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli, who are desperate to secure the Italian’s signature.
Chiesa is one of the standout players for Fiorentina and Napoli attempted to sign him during the latest transfer window, only to be told he is not for sale.
Chelsea were also monitoring the winger but did not make any official offer to sign him. Chiesa has managed to find the back of the net twice in the Serie A this season, but it is his trickery and work rate which is impressive.
The Blues will need to act quickly this time around as Napoli want to sign the 20-year-old as quickly as possible, with a £50m bid reportedly being prepared.
The offer could prove to be too good to refuse for Fiorentina, who are likely to find it difficult to keep hold of their star man.
