Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has made an important step to recovering from a shin injury as he took part in a series of drills at Chelsea’s Cobham training facilities.
Musonda joined Dutch side Vitesse with the aim of getting valuable first team minutes as he knew that opportunities under Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge would be limited this season.

The youngster’s plans went down the drain as he suffered the nasty injury in a behind closed door match against Royal Antwerp in September, but he is working hard to get back to full fitness.

The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a winger, had a loan spell with Scottish champions Celtic last season, but it was cut short after he struggled to get enough chances under Brendan Rodgers.
Today is Musonda’s birthday as he turns 22-years-old and he is targeting a return to action in the new year.
Musonda is highly-rated at Chelsea and is tipped for a bright future at the club after penning a new long-term deal in last December.
