Probable Chelsea leak divides the opinion of the supporters

Chelsea have been a victim of team news leaks for some time now. Their entire playing XI against Paris Saint-Germain over the two legs of the Blues’ Champions League round of 16 tie got leaked, which they lost 8-2 on aggregate.

Even after manager Liam Rosenior claimed that the club management had identified the ‘mole’ following that incident, the news of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro being unavailable against Brighton got leaked on social media.

The Blues’ interim manager, Calum McFarlane, has since taken over. There have been whispers about the club playing with three at the back when they take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final tomorrow. But at the same time, they are facing a different kind of leak ahead of this game.

Did Justin Rose accidentally leak Chelsea home kit?

Pictures of professional golfer Justin Rose wearing a collared, never-before-seen Chelsea shirt have been making the rounds on the internet. And according to the Daily Mail, fans believe that he might have accidentally leaked the Blues’ official home kit for next season.

Incidentally, it is very similar to the pictures that have been shared for the probable kit for next season. The only exception is a giant watermark-style Chelsea logo on the front. It is similar to the famous Inter Milan kit from the late 1990s when Ronaldo was playing for them.

The Stamford Bridge faithful have let their feelings known on the probable kit for the 2026/27 season. And there have been both negative and positive reviews regarding the shirt.

Probable home kit divides opinion of fans

It would be safe to say that the fans are divided when it comes to this kit, if it indeed turns out to be the home one instead of a special edition. Many like the clean look and the water-style was not really visible from Rose’s photos. Others think that the official logo should always be on the home shirt.

The rumoured new kit comes with a collar and a minimalistic Chelsea logo in yellow. But the part which has also engaged the fans in a debate is that it bears no name of any sponsors.

The Blues are under contract with IFS, an AI technology company till 2028. But as per the reports, their name will not feature in front of the shirt from next season onwards.

As it stands, with any official announcement yet to come from the Blues, the fans will unfortunately have to speculate with whatever little information they got from Rose’s recent pictures until the new kit is officially released.

matchday.
