According to reports in Italy, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has already spoken to Napoli striker Dries Mertens about the possibility of the Belgian making a summer move to Stamford Bridge.
The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer and as such, he will be able to move on a free transfer in the summer and it appears that Lampard would like to have him as part of his squad.
Mertens is an experienced Champions League player and he’ll still be hoping to win that competition this season when football resumes.
