Sarri wants Hazard to be ‘happy’ in next career move

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri claims that Eden Hazard must decide his future based on what will make him happy.

The Belgian superstar has frequently been linked with Real Madrid over the past few years and having recently told French outlet RMC Sport that he had already decided where his long-term future lies, much speculation has suggested the forward could join Los Blancos.

With less than 18 months left on the 28-year old’s current contract at Stamford Bridge, speculation suggests the Belgium international will trade in London for the Bernabéu this summer, and coach Sarri thinks Hazard should choose what makes him most happy.

However the Italian admitted that he has not held talks with the winger, who he also described as the best in Europe. As quoted by Football.London, Sarri said:

I speak every day with Eden, but I speak with Eden about his position on the pitch, not about [his contract]. I will be really very happy with him if he will want to stay, because in my opinion he’s the best in Europe.

And so I would be really very happy, but it’s up to him, I think.

I want to see him happy. And so, he has to decide.

matchday.
