German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are tracking Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi and are set to make a move for him, according to a report on the Mirror.
The young Englishman has been left frustrated with the lack of first-team opportunities given to him by new manager Maurizio Sarri this season and is open to leaving Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
Sarri is also understood to be keen on letting the 18-year-old leave on loan in January, but Bayern are hoping to seal a permanent deal for the forward.
The defending Bundesliga champions want to follow in the footsteps of their rivals Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, who have both had huge success through the signings of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson.
Hudson-Odoi’s Chelsea contract expires in 2020 and Bayern would rather him permanently, whilst Chelsea are seeking a loan to a fellow Premier League club.
The winger is one of Chelsea’s best Academy products and it is unlikely that they will agree on letting him leave on a permanent basis.
