Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been approached by Real Madrid representatives as they line him up as the replacement for Julen Lopetegui, according to a report on Sky Sports.
Conte spent two seasons in London and won the Premier League title in his first year at the club.
However, after a disappointing second campaign, the Italian was replaced by Maurizio Sarri, who has made an unbeaten start at the club so far.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly has Conte first on his list of managerial targets and has sent representatives to open negotiations with the Italian.
The European champions are struggling this season under Lopetegui and a majority of their fanbase want him to be sacked.
The Spanish giants are in seventh place in La Liga, four points behind league leaders Barcelona, who they play this weekend.
Reports are suggesting that Conte is ready to return to management after deciding to take a break from managing after being relieved of his duties by Chelsea.
