Eden Hazard happy to wait for Madrid move

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is likely to stay at Chelsea if a move to Real Madrid in the near future fails to materialise, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belgian playmaker has been rumoured to be one of Madrid’s summer targets with manager Zinedine Zidane a known admirer.

However, reports suggest that if Los Blancos fail to agree on a deal with Chelsea then Hazard will snub any other move away from Stamford Bridge.

The prospect of Chelsea losing out on European football has caused scrutiny on Hazard’s future and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old according to the report from the Daily Mail. PSG potentially face losing strikers Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer and could flex their financial muscle in an attempt to lure Hazard to the French capital.

It seems however that Hazard has his heart set on a switch to the Bernabeu to link up with his boyhood idol Zidane and last year’s PFA player of the year is prepared to wait in order to fulfill his boyhood dream.

One of the issues holding up a potential deal is Real Madrid’s pending transfer embargo. While an appeal looks to have upheld the ban, Hazard appears to be willing to stay at Chelsea until an agreement can be made.

Hazard was one of the key players in Chelsea’s successful Premier League campaign last year and while his form has dipped along with his other teammates, Hazard is still rated as one of the best young attackers in the world and could command a record transfer fee.
