Chelsea’s player of the season last year has said that Chelsea’s title rivals have started better than Chelsea because they all want to beat the Premier League champions.
Speaking to the Express whilst on international duty with Belgium, Hazard admits it’s difficult to play as the champions because everyone is out to beat them, knowing that finishing above them could mean winning the title this time around.
It’s difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you.

Hazard also revealed he enjoys wearing the gold Premier League badge on the Chelsea kit this season and they are looking to emulate last season despite a difficult start which leaves Chelsea in the bottom half of the table as we begin to return from the international break.
We wear the gold (champions) badge and it’s very good.
Hazard was speaking after scoring the winner in the final few minutes for Belgium to beat Cyprus on Monday night, all but securing Belgium’s place in Euro 2016 next summer.
The winger did take a battering from manager Marc Wilmots about his performance despite scoring the winner, carrying on from his poor start to the season at Chelsea. Hopefully, he can regain some of last season’s form, starting this weekend against Everton.
