Chelsea’s inactivity in the transfer market has been a subject of debate for the Blues’ fans. Some will argue that building upon a successful season is a necessity whereas others will pose the question, why fix something that is not broken?
However according to Spanish publication MARCA, Chelsea have launched an audacious €65million bid to sign Atlético Madrid midfielder Koke. Indeed, MARCA claims that Mourinho has long admired Koke for his relentless work-rate in defence and equally impressive ability on the ball.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderón since establishing himself as a key player for both club and country in recent seasons, emerging as one of the continent’s most complete players.
While the bid appeared to meet the player’s release clause, Koke has reportedly been convinced by his boyhood club to reject a transfer to Chelsea and stay, as Atlético aim to top La Liga once again.
The report also claims that Bayern Munich matched Chelsea’s bid but were just as unsuccessful in prying away one of Atlético’s most valuable players.
