Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater has named Eden Hazard in the top two players he has ever played alongside.
Speaking to the Mirror, Drinkwater named Chelsea’s Belgian star and Paul Scholes as his top two players.
For different reasons I would say Scholes and Hazard, Scholes was a genius. Hazard is current. Scholes could control everything. That’s a good way of saying it, he could control a game easily. He found it easy.
The former Leicester City midfielder will be hoping he can share the pitch with Hazard going forward.
The Englishman has been limited to just three starts in the Premier League for Chelsea.
Injuries delayed the start of his Chelsea career after he made the £35 million move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Since then, Drinkwater has seen large spells of his football coming from the bench, making a further seven appearances as a substitute.
Fellow summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko has stood in Drinkwater’s way in the current side, but with the Frenchman struggling to adapt to Premier League football, the 27-year-old will be hopeful of featuring for Antonio Conte in the near future.
