As we edge towards December, the rumour mill begins to speed up with proposed transfer targets being revealed ahead of the January window and Chelsea are being linked with Gremio starlet Arthur.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has broken into the Gremio first-team squad in the last 12 months and his fine form was rewarded with a maiden call-up to the senior international squad last month.
Gremio have been fielding significant interest in their prized asset in recent weeks, with the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all also being linked with a move for the Brazilian, and Chelsea are said to be weighing up a January offer.
It’s believed that the Brazilian outfit value Arthur at around €30m, which is a lot for a player without an international cap to his name and just 39 senior appearances in his career to date, but it’s a fee that the Blues won’t have an issue matching if they believe he’s worth the investment.
