Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign Serge Aurier from PSG this summer.
According to a report from the Telegraph today, Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his defensive reinforcements by securing the Ivorian international.
It’s stated that the Italian coach wants to recruit two new wing-backs in order to rival Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso ahead of the forthcoming campaign, and Aurier has been identified as the perfect man to occupy the right wing.
Along with this, the Telegraph claims that Chelsea will lodge a firm enquiry over the availability of wantaway Southampton star Virgil van Dijk, who is Conte’s top defensive target this summer.
Aurier, though, is wanted by Manchester United, and there is set to be stern competition over his signature this month. The PSG man is likely to be on the move given the arrival of Dani Alves in Paris.
Having already missed out on Danilo, Conte will be desperate to secure the services of a top wing-back this summer, and Aurier could fit the bill.
