Chelsea secured their fourth consecutive FA Youth Cup on Wednesday night when they beat Manchester City 5-1 at Stamford Bridge, winning the tie 6-2 on aggregate.
Goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Ike Ugbo, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Dujon Sterling and Cole Dasilva saw the Blues ease past City.
Jody Morris’ side, who likened the club’s senior team, playing the 3-4-3 with both Antonio Conte and Roman Abramovich in attendance at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues started brilliantly and City couldn’t cope with the pace and power of Chelsea. Chalobah put Chelsea in front in the opening five minutes, with a well placed header finding the top corner.
Ugbo doubled Chelsea’s lead inside the first half with an excellent acrobatic effort on the end of a cross from Sterling, who was a constant menace for City.
Lukas Nmecha pulled one back for City in the second half but Hudson-Odoi smashed home in the second half to restore Chelsea’s two-goal lead on the night.
Sterling, who impressed on the night, scored a well-deserved goal to round off a brilliant induvidual performance. Dasilva pounced on a loose ball in the final minutes to make it five at Stamford Bridge.
