Maurizio Sarri has been dealt a double injury blow ahead of his Chelsea side’s Europa League clash against POAK on Thursday night, football-talk reports.
Sarri spoke to the media at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday to confirm that both Eden Hazard and Victor Moses will be unavailable for the fixture.
Moses has received a set back from his return to action for the Blues after suffering a back injury. Moses had previously been expected to be named in the squad for Chelsea’s clash with POAK but Sarri has now confirmed that he will miss
Hazard picked up an ankle injury in the Blues’ 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, whilst Moses has suffered a back injury.
Hazard’s injury isn’t believed to be serious and should only keep him sidelined for Thursday’s fixture before being made available for the Fulham game at the weekend.
Sarri told journalists that he is expecting to make several chases for Thursday’s clash with the Greek outfit, with his side currently six points clear at the top of Group L.
