Chelsea stand in good stead when it comes to the potential signing of Russia international Arsen Zakharyan.
That is if esteemed journalist Fabrizio Romano’s latest update is anything to go by.
The Italian relayed a quote from Sport Express, in which Zakharyan gave an update as to his much-touted move to Stamford Bridge.
His admission only adds to the narrative that he will be a Chelsea player next year, with the 19-year-old hopeful that a move will be completed sometime soon.
Taking to his personal Twitter page, Romano relayed the update:
“Arsen Zakharyan on Chelsea deal: ‘I think it’s all right. Talks with Chelsea are underway. But I won’t reveal all the cards’, he told Sport Express.
“Zakharyan remains in Chelsea list as one of the young talents they want to bring to the club.“

Romano alludes to Todd Boehly’s “top talents” strategy in his latest update, with Zakharyan fitting the bill nicely.
He’s a star who is already making an impact in senior football, but due to his tender age, could be eased into the side, potentially leapfrogging summer signings Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson and Cesare Casadei, all of a similar age.
The difference between Zakharyan and the aforementioned though is the fact that he now has three seasons under his belt as a starter in the Russian Premier League.
What’s more, the international star is boasting some serious returns for Dinamo Moscow, having already secured a haul of seven-goal contributions from 16 appearances so far this season in the form of two goals and five assists.
Capable of playing anywhere in attack, the versatile star specialises as a central midfielder and has proven himself as the string-puller of the team, averaging 33.3 accurate passes per game this season.
Despite his obviously impressive direct attacking returns, Zakharyan’s 43 big chances created from 16 games makes him an invaluable asset to Chelsea, who are desperately struggling to create this season.
