Chelsea are ready to “roll out the red carpet” in their efforts to sign Dynamo Moscow star Arsen Zakharyan.
That is according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who has informed GIVEMESPORT of Chelsea’s reported desperation to lure the star over to SW6.
As such, with the club not afraid in making their interest abundantly clear, the journalist would not be shocked if the Blues upped the ante in their pursuit for the 19-year-old midfielder.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said: “There’s no doubt they still want this guy. He’s a big deal and Chelsea are ready to roll out the red carpet for him, in many ways. They want to make him feel special and they want to make him feel wanted.
“They believe that he’s got something very special and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they do try to sign him again.”
Chelsea seek deal for “very special” star
Just shy of £13million, Russia international Zakharyan is a promising player to say the least.
His efforts in the Russian Premier League last season saw him hit a solid return of 13 attacking contributions in the form of seven goals and six assists.
The Moscow player’s versatility across the advanced positions will appeal to Potter, and with that, you can foresee a positive Chelsea career for the youngster.
Chelsea’s interest is said to be reciprocated by the number-47-wearing gem by none other than Fabrizio Romano, who stated that “Zakharyan has been very clear: ‘I only want to join Chelsea‘.”
This season, the Russian is building on his upwards trajectory and currently finds himself on two goals and five assists across 15 matches.
With both parties said to be interested, this is a move that we can expect to see within the next season or so.
