A new dawn has been opened in the history of Chelsea with club legend, Frank Lampard taking charge of the club. Lampard was appointed after Maurizio Sarri left the club for Juventus. Lampard coming in will not be the only new thing at the club but also the presence of a transfer ban on the club for the next two transfer windows.
This means that Lampard and his new team will have to work with the current team that struggled to finish in the top four despite having Eden Hazard. With Hazard gone and some ageing members of the squad, it could be a long journey for Chelsea, but in the same way that NJ Games can offer great rewards, there’s plenty of rewards for Chelsea to chase going into the new season.
The 41-year-old will be supported at the club by his fellow backroom team from derby to ensure that the new Chelsea is heading in the right direction.
The new campaign has to start on a note where the fans have to understand that the manager might not get everything right as he is young in the industry and also this is a very big job on his hand. One of the reasons Sarri had an issue last season was because of the way the fans criticized his approach and some took a bet he would leave at the end of the season.
The season might not start the way the fans want or the football might be alien to what they are used to. This should still not stop them from backing the manager for at least a season. This way, it will be obvious that the club has given its full support to the manager for at least a season to try and let everyone see what he can do.
It is also expected that along the way, some results will be very poor will some will be good, it is a rebuilding season and patience will be key to surviving this period.
With the transfer ban, this means that several players from the youth system will have to be used to complement what they have. Players returning from the loan will be given their chance to convince the manager that they worth the merit. It is awkwardly a very good time to finally give the youth product the chance rather than send all out on loan season in season out.
If these players can prove their worth, this could open the way for them to establish as the first-team player for the club. Aclsports has spoken about promising stars like Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hudson Odoi might show what they are capable of if given the chance.
There is expectedly going to be errors from these youngsters, but the reward in it, if they come out good, is an everlasting squad for the team. Chelsea fans across the world should brace up for whatever comes this season and hope that it is a time to recalibrate and be run like a proper club.
