Young Chelsea midfielder Luke McCormick looks set to commit his long-term future to the club, with the 20-year-old close to a new deal.
According to Football Insider, McCormick is set to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
The midfielder is highly regarded by staff at Chelsea, and looks to be one for the future for the Blues.
McCormick made 10 appearances in Premier League 2 last season, scoring four goals and assisting two for Chelsea’s development side.
The Blues plan to send McCormick out on loan to the EFL this season, with youth staff at Chelsea wanting him to taste first-team football.
Chelsea have high hopes that McCormick can make it at Stamford Bridge, and want to continue his development at the club.
McCormick has been on Chelsea’s books since the age of six, and signed his first professional deal back in January 2017.
