Bakayoko set for Chelsea return following social media post

Tiemoue Bakayoko looks set to return to Chelsea this summer following his loan spell with AC Milan, despite rumours that the Serie A side were considering a permanent move for the midfielder.

Despite enduring a mixed spell during his time with the Rossoneri, the Serie A giants were said to be considering activating the €35million option to buy clause in the loan deal at the end of the season.

However, the midfielder looks set for a return to Chelsea this summer, following a post on his Instagram page.

Calcio Mercato believe that to be the case, and according to the Italian outlet’s translation of the post, Bakayoko appears to have bid farewell to Milan.

Despite yesterday’s win we couldn’t reach a Champions League spot. This big disappointment doesn’t cancel everything and I want to thank you. Thank for your support which was nice and sincere even if the beginning of our relationship was complicated. Thanks for your love when I went through the most complicated moments of this season

Thank for your support on social media and for making San Siro a unique stadium. These memories will forever be with me. See you soon. Forza Milan.

Bakayoko struggled to make an impact in his first season at Chelsea, but could look to force his way into the side upon his return to the club this summer.
