Torino to activate Aina’s €10million buyout clause

Torino have decided to activate the €10million clause included in Ola Aina’s loan deal to sign the full-back permanently this summer, the club’s president has confirmed. 

Aina has impressed during his loan spell with the Serie A side this season, and assisted Iago Falque for Torino’s opening goal in the 3-1 victory over Lazio on the final day of the season last weekend.

And according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Torino’s club president Urbano Cairo revealed following the win over Lazio that he will contact Chelsea on Monday, to inform the Blues of their decision to activate the clause in Aina’s deal.

I am going to call Chelsea tomorrow [today] to activate Ola Aina’s clause. 

Aina has spent the last two season’s on loan with Hull City and Torino respectively, after struggling for first team football with Chelsea, and the full-back now looks set to leave the club this summer.
