Derby keen on re-signing Fikayo Tomori

Championship side Derby County are keen on securing the services of Fikayo Tomori once again next season.

According to the Mirror, relayed by talkSPORT, the Rams will rival Scottish giants Celtic in the race to land Tomori’s services next season.

The athletic defender picked up Derby’s Player of the Year award last month and played a key role in their dramatic play-off semi-final win over Leeds United last week.

Frank Lampard’s side will now take on Aston Villa, who are assisted by John Terry, for a place in the Premier League next season later this month.

The result of the play-off final at Wembley could also play a key role in Derby’s attempts to sign Tomori.

The club could pursue a permanent move for the 21-year-old if they earn promotion, however, if they miss out on top flight football, the Rams may have to settle for another season-long loan offer due to Tomori’s valuation.
