Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly tabled ‘contract offers’ for Ajax star David Neres.
The Blues had been linked with a summer swoop to sign the Brazilian attacker, whose form has helped the Dutch giants enjoy a memorable season, in which they won the KNVB Cup and the Eredivisie title.
Neres was also particularly impressive in Ajax’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they exited to Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea appear now to have firmed up their interest in signing the winger, and according to claims from Euro United via Twitter, an offer has been submitted to the player as they pursue a summer deal.
The Blues may have a transfer ban looming over them, but their efforts to tie up deals have seemingly not been deterred, with Neres a target.
However, they are not the only potential suitors for the Ajax star. Euro United claims that Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also in the race.
