Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is attracting interest from Italian giants Inter Milan this summer, according to Sport Mediaset, as cited on Tutto Mercato Web.
Bakayoko has spent this season on loan at Inter’s city rivals AC Milan and he has had a very up-and-down campaign.
He has shown bursts of good form but at the weekend he started on the bench and could be seen to have a heated touchline spat with manager Gennaro Gattuso.
His time at AC Milan seems to be coming to a premature end, but it may not be the last the Serie A sees of the Frenchman.
It’s being reported that Inter Milan are showing a keen interest in signing Bakayoko from Chelsea this summer.
A loan deal seems to be the most likely option, and if Inter wish to add in an option to buy for the midfielder they will be looking at a fee of around £30 million.
Bakayoko has had a torrid time of it since moving to Chelsea.
He made a big name for himself with Monaco during their great season in 2016/17. They had a superb young squad made up of fearless and highly talented players.
Monaco made it to the Champions League semi-final, impressively beating Man City and Borrusia Dortmund in the process, and they also won the Ligue 1 title.
Bakayoko moved to Chelsea that summer but poor form saw him pushed out of the first-team and he has struggled to show the kind of form ever since.
