Maurizio Sarri believes Ruben Loftus-Cheek can become one Europe’s best midfielders following yet another impressive performance on Sunday.
The Blues secured a top four finish this season with a 3-0 victory over Watford, after both Arsenal and Manchester United dropped points, and Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring with his ninth goal of the season in all competitions.
The midfielder replaced N’Golo Kante after 10 minutes, as the Frenchman was forced off with a hamstring problem, and produced a Man of the Match performance for the Blues.
And Chelsea boss Sarri believes the 23-year-old can become one of Europe’s best midfielders in the future.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is not just for me but for English football. He is improving match by match he can become one of the best midfielders in Europe, not only in England. He has very great potential and in the next season he will be for sure one of the best midfielders, not only in England.
The midfielder will have a key role to play in Chelsea’s remaining two fixtures in the absence of Kante, with the Blues hosting Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
