Chelsea transfer target Nicolo Barella will be scouted by Manchester United this weekend, according to reports.
The Italy international midfielder has been linked with a move away from Serie A club Cagliari this summer, after an impressive campaign has seen him catch the eye of a number of elite European clubs.
And according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, as cited by FourFourTwo, United are set to send a scout to watch Barella in action this weekend, with Cagliari taking on Napoli at the San Paolo.
United are said to be interested in making a move for the central midfielder this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans a summer overhaul of his squad.
Reports from earlier this year had suggested that the 22 year old rejected an approach from Chelsea in January, in favour of remaining in Sardinia.
However the Blues will be hoping they can convince him to take the leap and move to London in the summer.
