Sarri unhappy with Arsenal reaching Europa League semi-finals

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has admitted that he is unhappy that fellow Premier League side Arsenal knocked out Napoli in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

As reported on the Mirror, Sarri, who used to be the Napoli manager, guided Chelsea to the semi-finals after a 5-3 aggregate victory over Slavia Prague.

The two London clubs could meet each other in the final of the competition later this year. Arsenal face Spanish side Valencia whilst Chelsea come up against German surprise package Eintracht Frankfurt.

When speaking after the game, Sarri said:

I’m not happy that Napoli are out because, if the final is Chelsea v Napoli, I’m sure at the end of the match I’d be really happy.

This time I don’t want to play the final; I want to win the final. To win the competition it’ll be very difficult. Eintracht are a great team with a wonderful striker in Luka Jovic.

Both sides will fancy their chances of advancing into the final.
