Laurent Blanc eyes Chelsea job

Former Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc is keen on managing Chelsea in the future, according to FourFourTwo.

The Frenchman is reportedly keeping an eye on the Blues amid the uncertainty regarding Maurizio Sarri’s future at the club, following an inconsistent first season in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Blanc has been without a club since he left PSG in 2016 and was said to be one of Chelsea’s targets last summer, prior to Sarri’s appointment.

And the 53-year-old has been linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs in recent weeks, including PSG’s rivals Lyon, following their shock 3-1 defeat at home to relegation threatened Dijon last weekend.

Sarri has come under intense criticism from some Chelsea supporters this season as the Italian has attempted to implement his ‘Sarriball’ style of play on the Blues.

The 60-year-old won plaudits from a number of pundits and manager’s within the game, including Pep Guardiola, during his time at Napoli for his attractive style of play.
