Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has rebuffed reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Speaking to French news outlet RTL, as cited by talkSPORT, the former Leicester City star was quizzed about whether or not he would be interested in switching Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu Stadium.
Kante was quick to quieten the speculation, reiterating that his focus lies solely on helping Chelsea succeed. He said:
I am at Chelsea and I still have aims here, what is said elsewhere is not important. That is not important. I am at Chelsea and I am focused on that.
Maurizio Sarri has deployed the World Cup winner in a less familiar, box-to-box role during his first season in charge of the Blues, but the midfielder remains a pivotal player for the club.
Prestigious clubs from across Europe had been linked with potential summer swoops for Kante, with Juventus and Real Madrid understood to have firmed up their respective interests.
However, it seems the 27-year-old is not interested in discussing his future, as he focuses on the task at hand with Chelsea.
