Serie A duo Roma and Inter Milan are reportedly both watching Mateo Kovacic’s situation at Chelsea closely.
The midfielder is currently on loan at the club from Real Madrid following his temporary switch last summer, and the Blues are unlikely to be able to complete a permanent deal for the player.
Maurizio Sarri’s side have been struck by a transfer ban that will last for the next two windows, indicating that Chelsea may not be allowed to make Kovacic’s stay at Stamford Bridge permanent.

According to a report from Calciomercato, a return to Italy could be on the cards for the Croatian international.
Kovacic is understood to be keen on remaining in the Premier League for the foreseeable future, but it seems that Chelsea could struggle to retain his services.
Nevertheless, options appear to be on the table in Serie A. Calciomercato reports that Roma and Inter are keen to sign new midfielders this summer, and the Blues loanee is among the options under consideration.
