Willian doubled Chelsea advantage shortly after the hour mark, with Willian scoring a well-placed free-kick from 25 yards.
Callum Hudson-Odoi topped the game off in the final minute, completing a well-worked team move to all but put the tie to bed.
The result leaves the Blues in firm control of the tie, and manager Maurizio Sarri will hope his side can carry the performance into the second leg in the Ukraine.
