AC Milan will be forced to spend €38 million on signing Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea at the end of the season, according to a report from Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato.
The Frenchman joined the Italian giants in the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal following a difficult maiden campaign in English football.
Chelsea signed Bakayoko in a £40 million deal after he shone for AS Monaco. However, he failed to convince and was then deemed surplus to Maurizio Sarri’s requirements.

He has found a new lease of life at San Siro, though, and has established himself as a vital cog in Gennaro Gattuso’s starting line-up with Milan.
The midfielder is wanted permanently by the Serie A side, but won’t be able to land Bakayoko at a discounted price, with reports indicating that a fee worth €38m will be required.
Chelsea face a transfer ban in the next two windows, so could be looking to retain the midfielder as Mateo Kovacic’s loan deal at Stamford Bridge expires this summer.
