Atlético Madrid have joined Chelsea in registering an interest in Everton forward Richarlison.
AS reported earlier this week that Atlético had opened negotiations with the Brazil international’s representatives over a prospective summer move to the Wanda Metropolitano, however the Spanish side could be put off by the transfer fee.
Conversely, the La Liga side could be tempted into spending more than they’d ideally like to due to Richarlison being just 21-years old, with the signing likely to be a huge move for the future as well as the present, according to MailOnline.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested, and would have the additional financial muscle to facilitate a deal. Any deal would likely cost a small fortune, with Richarlison having signed for Everton on a five-year deal last summer for £40million.
Given the underwhelming season Everton’s have been having, and with manager Marco Silva’s job on a knife edge, the Brazilian could be tempted to move away to a club who can guarantee European football.
With Chelsea’s striking options having disappointed this campaign, Maurizio Sarri could look to Everton’s star man to strengthen his forward options ahead of next season.
The winger-cum-striker has scored 10 goals for Everton this season.
