Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma has been garnering praise at Everton as the Frenchman eyes a space in the Blues squad next season.
Scoring in Everton tense 2-0 win over Bournemouth Zouma has had a mixed season at Goodison Park so far.
Making 18 appearances this season Zouma has impressed when called upon. But in a Everton side with the likes of Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina a stacked Toffees back line has seen Zouma’s starts limited this season.
Mina, on loan at Everton from Barcelona is very similar to the Frenchman. Both stand tall far beyond 6ft, both are still very raw but also need a more experienced head next to them. This has seen the pair share game time in the heart of the Toffees defence.

Yet that hasn’t stopped the Blues man from impressing this season, despite only keeping three clean sheets in his 18 starts Zouma has made a name for himself as one of the most promising centre-backs outside the top six.
Despite his 6ft 3′ frame the former Saint-Etienne man is deceptively quick, not to mention near untouchable in the air able to beat many of his opponents in an aerial battle.
But it seems the now 24 year-old is still reckless, and often breaks defence to win a tackle or soar into the air with the latter ending the player’s season in 2015/16 after an ACL injury.
After a loan spell at relegated Stoke City and now with Everton Zouma has seen considerable minutes, more than he would should he had stayed at Stamford Bridge. Should he feature in Marco Silva’s next game against Southampton it will be the player’s 100th in English football.
