Chelsea are set to offer Petr Cech a role at Stamford Bridge after the goalkeeper announced his retirement on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reports.
After a 20-year career, the Arsenal and former Chelsea star announced that he was to retire at the end of the season.
Cech holds the all-time record for the number of Premier League clean sheets at 202 and has won an array of trophies during his career, including the 2012 Champions League title with Chelsea.
Now it appears that his former club are set to offer him a role at the club when the season finishes.
It is believed that the Blues would offer the Czech an ambassadorial role or a coaching position at the club, most likely within their academy.
Cech has already started his coaching badges with the possibility of a future career in management.
In his statement of retirement posted to Twitter on Tuesday, Cech wrote:
This is my 20th season as a professional player and it has been 20 years since I signed my first professional contract, so it feels like the right time to announce that I will retire at the end of this season.
Having played 15 years in the Premier League, and won every single trophy possible, I feel like I have achieved everything I set out to achieve.
I will continue to work hard at Arsenal to hopefully win one more trophy this season, then I am looking forward to seeing what life holds for me off the pitch.
