Chelsea loanee Kasey Palmer has began his life on loan at Bristol City with a bang after scoring on his debut against Bolton.
Palmer, 22, has already become a fan favourite at Bristol City despite only joining five days ago. Within five minutes of coming on, the Chelsea loan star opened his account under manager Lee Johnson sending the Robins two up against Bolton.
Arguably the most popular man in Bristol, Palmer joined the club after an unsuccessful loan spell to Blackburn, cut short in December due to lack of game time. Previously the player has bounced from loan to loan with stints at both Huddersfield and Derby.
The news is good for Blues fans with Palmer once Chelsea’s jewel of their famed academy, but after a unsuccessful few years it has now become a case of putting the player in the shop window with his contract up at the end of the sea
As reported by Bristol Live the player said:
I couldn’t wish for a better debut and when I scored I ran over to the side that were booing me a few months ago to try and win them over some more.
I’m buzzing with it, it’s good to get the three points and score on my debut.
I think it’s quite easy for me to settle in as I know a few of the Chelsea loan players here and I know Andreas Weimann from when I was at Derby.
There’s a few friends I’ve got from before and it makes it easier to settle in.
Bristol City extend their winning run to nine in the Championship, and should the form of Palmer continue his parent club may have no choice but to offer the player a contract extension.
