Sevilla director refuses to rule out move for Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata has once again been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this transfer window, but this time back to his homeland in Spain with Sevilla.

It is just five goals in the Premier League this campaign for the Spaniard, with only 11 starts to his name, plus another five from the bench.

The Spanish side, who currently sit third in La Liga, are reportedly keen on bringing in another forward, after loaning Luis Muriel to Fiorentina on Friday, and sporting director Joaquin Caparros refused to rule out a move for the Chelsea striker.

As quoted by Football London, Caparros said:

We are working on many names. The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla.

Despite being out of form, the Blues may look to keep the ex-Juventus man at the Bridge for now, as they have centre-forward issues of their own.

Oliver Giroud is sidelined through and ankle injury, whilst Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pedro have picked up hamstring problems in recent weeks.

Eden Hazard has often been deployed as a false nine under Maurizio Sarri, and the Italian has refused to recall the services of Tammy Abraham, and Michy Batshuayi.

Abraham has stole the show in the division below this season, netting 16 times in 20 games, putting him as top scorer in the Championship.

Batshuayi has struggled to make an impact in Spain, however, scoring just three times for Valencia in his 21 games.
