Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea forward Álvaro Morata this month.
Currently third place in La Liga, Sevilla are keen on signing another forward in January, with Luis Muriel having joined Fiorentina on loan earlier this week.
And the Spaniard has refused to deny interest in the Chelsea forward, 26, whose future at Stamford Bridge has constantly been called into question over the last few months.
Asked by reporters on Thursday if he was trying to sign the Spain international, Caparros said:
We are working on many names. The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla.
Morata is said to be keen on a move back to La Liga, however he would struggle to break into Sevilla’s side, with Wissam Ben Yedder and André Silva both in fine form this campaign.
