Maurizio Sarri is ready to approach his former side Empoli over a deal to sign promising young midfielder Hamed Junior Traore.
According to Il Tirreno, as cited on Calciomercato, the Chelsea head coach will seek talks with club president Tuscan Corsi over a deal to sign the 18-year-old.
Traore has been catching the eye with his performances for Empoli this season and Sarri is clearly a fan.

After breaking in the senior squad at Empoli recently, Traore has made over a dozen league appearances this season.
At the tender age of just 18, Traore has started nine games in Serie A, making a further four appearances off the bench.
The Ivorian, who can play both in a deeper and more attacking midfield role, is enjoying a breakthrough campaign with Sarri’s former side.
Sarri will be hoping he can utilise his contacts at his former side to seal a deal before interest in Traore from elsewhere rises.
