Napoli chairman rules out Koulibaly exit

Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has claimed that defender Kalidou Koulibaly will not be sold in the January transfer window.

The Napoli chief has revealed that there is no chance that he leaves Naples in the next transfer window.

He has also claimed that Manchester United made a £95m bid for the towering defender, which was rejected.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Koulibaly, as Maurizio Sarri looks to improve his defence – by raiding his former club.

Koulibaly was full of praise for Sarri when speaking about his former manager earlier this month, but a reunion appears to be off the cards for now.

As quoted by The Express, De Laurentiis said this:

[Jose] Mourinho wanted him, we rejected £95million. But now it’s impossible that he leaves Napoli.

Manchester United may now withdraw from the race following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
