Chelsea drawn to play Tottenham in League Cup semi-final

Chelsea have been drawn to face Tottenham in the semi-finals of the League Cup in January.

The Blues will now play Tottenham across two legs to battle it out for a place in the 2019 League Cup final.

Manchester City will face League One minnows Burton Albion in the other semi-final, with Pep Guardiola’s side the heavy favourites going into that game.

Chelsea will be looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to Tottenham at Wembley earlier this season, with Maurizio Sarri also eyeing his first ever major trophy as a manager.

Tottenham will host the first-leg and Chelsea will host the second-leg next month, before the final in February.
