Ruben Loftus-Cheek considering another loan move from Chelsea

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is “prepared” to talk to Maurizio Sarri about another loan move from Chelsea, report the Guardian.

The England youngster may have scored in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Fulham – he has five goals in his last six appearances – but he has often found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season.

The Blues’ first-choice midfield of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic has shone, so it is understandable why he has struggled to feature.

Loftus-Cheek says he remains happy at Stamford Bridge for the time being, however, even though that may change:

I am here right now, I am at Chelsea and I want to focus on helping the team. When I am on the pitch I can’t have any negative thoughts when I am in and around the team because it will affect the team.

So my head right now is on playing for Chelsea and learning Sarri’s way. Individually and as a team, that’s all I can do at the moment. I can’t think too far ahead. I can only think about what’s happening right now.

It is a difficult period coming up where we have to be fully focused. There’s loads of games, so loads of rotation, so we all need to be ready physically and mentally for this.

It is all a learning curve, so I am just really focused and aware on what I need to learn.

Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a return to Crystal Palace, where he impressed on loan last season.

It earned him a place in England’s World Cup squad and enhanced the 22-year-old’s reputation greatly.

For the time being it looks as though he will stay in west London, but if his game time continues to be limited in the Premier League, he may have to think again.
