Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, report BBC Sport.
It will keep the France World Cup winner with the Blues until 2023, in what is a significant piece of news for the club.
Kante has emerged as one of Europe’s best midfielders in the last three years, with few more influential players in that area of the pitch.
Having starred for Leicester City in their remarkable Premier League title triumph in 2015/16, he moved to Chelsea for a reported £32million the following summer.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed two superb years in west London, winning the league in his first season and proving to be a model of consistency in the middle of the park.
Kante has been given more of a box-to-box role by new boss Maurizio Sarri this season, but he has continued to impress.
