Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is believed to be one of three players that Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to sign in January.
The Daily Star reports that the United boss has his eyes on Cahill, Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin and Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Cahill has been heavily linked with a surprise move to United in recent months, with Mourinho still keen to strengthen defensively.

The ex-England international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer and has been told that he will be allowed to leave the Blues during the January window.
Despite Cahill falling out of favour under Maurizio Sarri, it is yet to be seen what stance the club would take if Mourinho came calling for their club captain in January.
United missed out on defensive targets in the summer and Mourinho has regularly vented his frustration towards those behind the scenes at the club.
