Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has lauded Eden Hazard’s all-round qualities as a role model.
The 27-year-old is set to captain his country on Thursday night, with Belgium hosting Iceland in the UEFA Nations League.
With the match looming, Martinez told reporters all about Hazard’s leadership skills, highlighting his ability to deal with pressure:

He’s been a very good leader.
There are many different types of leaders but I think what Eden Hazard brings is someone you can get influenced by and who is an incredible source for younger players and who has been someone who can never, ever get affected by the pressure of the game or the pressure of the situation.
And he enjoys his football and is always decisive for his play and a role model for all of us.

Martinez is spot on in his assessment of Chelsea’s star man, with the Belgian only ever in the headlines for positive reasons.
He has arguably been the Premier League’s best player in the opening months of this season and his influence will be key for his country on Thursday.
Belgium currently sit top of Group A2 having picked up maximum points from their opening two matches, against Iceland and Switzerland.
