Eden Hazard says that he will consider his Chelsea future at the end of the season, but confirmed that he has no thoughts of making a transfer in January.
When asked about his future, Hazard told Sporza:
I’m only thinking about Chelsea now. The competition lasts seven or eight months, after that, I’ll see what happens.
Hazard, who admitted that he wanted to join Real Madrid last summer, said that he is happy at Chelsea and that is mainly down to Maurizio Sarri.
The coach has the same football philosophy as I. He always thinks about the ball. How we as players think about football, that is also his way of thinking. If you see how Napoli play, it’s thanks to Maurizio Sarri, his style is now reflected in Chelsea, he also has players who fit into the system. So yes, we’re very happy, we play football well.
The Belgian star was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer and he admitted that he came home from the World Cup fully expecting to join the European Champions but Chelsea were keen to keep him and as such, he decided not to push for a move.
Whilst a January move to Spain seems highly unlikely, the speculation surrounding Hazard is only set to intensify next summer.
