Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra has been discussing his future amid recent links with a move to Chelsea.
The Blues are reported to have kept a close eye on Pereyra’s progress at Vicarage Road this season, with the midfielder standing out in Javi Gracia’s side.
Pereyra has been an important player for the Hornets since his move from Juventus and is now being linked with an exit, with Chelsea among the potential destinations touted.
The Blues have an abundance of quality in their current pool of midfield options but could be keen to build upon this, with Pereyra named as a target in recent times.
As quoted by Calciomercato, the Watford star recently discussed his current situation and his plans for the future, revealing that interest from a club of Chelsea’s prestige is flattering. Pereyra said:
Now I hope to keep going like I am now, with a club like Chelsea mentioned. It’s nice that you talk about a team that is so fond of me.
The 27-year-old playmaker has been highly influential for Watford this term and has already contributed with five goals in the Premier League.
