Chelsea will face competition from Real Madrid in their pursuit of AC Milan star Suso, according to claims from Sport Mediaset, as cited by Calciomercato.
It was reported on Tuesday that the Blues are currently in the process of working on a deal to recruit the Spain international.
According to claims from Italy, Suso’s contract currently includes a release clause which is set at €38 million, a price that Chelsea are willing to cough up to complete the signing.
The winger has often been linked with a move back to the Premier League, with Liverpool also touted as potential suitors, but Real appear to now be targeting Suso.
AC Milan remain desperate to retain the services of their star man, who has been in productive form for Gennaro Gattuso’s men this season. The 24-year-old has scored four goals in Serie A and also has seven assists to his name.
Real Madrid, however, appear to be ready to offer Chelsea some competition in the race to sign Suso.
