Real Madrid have passed on appointing Antonio Conte – for now.
The former Chelsea manager will continue to pursue the Blues for damages, as his former club had been holding out hope an appointment from Real would remove any outstanding financial obligations they have to the Italian.
Consequently, a legal dispute draws on that could see £7 million head to Conte.
Negotiations between Conte and the Spanish giants were in progress, but are have stalled according to The Times.
