Loan watch: A closer look at Tammy Abraham’s time at Aston Villa

Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has continued to impress on loan at Aston Villa with fans and pundits alike praising the 21-year-old.

Abraham, who has currently netted three goals in six appearances, looks to be the missing link Villa desperately needed last campaign with his pace, power and goal-scoring prowess certainly aiding the Villains.

Standing at 6′ 3” the English U21 international is surprisingly quick, not to mention looks near unstoppable in the air. Yet if the Camberwell-born striker does not score, he is rarely mentioned and needs to get involved more in regards to providing for his team mates.

A ghost he may be at times, but ultimately Tammy Abraham is on loan to score goals and he is doing just that, scoring Villa’s only goal against Millwall in a 2-1 defeat to add to his tally for the season.

Despite a club in crisis, a manager sacking and a fan base up in arms the forward is slowly becoming a fan favourite at Villa Park. Fans from both clubs have taken to Twitter to praise the former Swansea loanee.

With Bruce now out of the picture, it seems almost nailed on that Aston Villa will hire Thierry Henry as their manager and John Terry as his number two. Should that happen, expect Abraham to learn even more under the guidance of two Premier League legends.

In regards to his future at Stamford Bridge, nobody is really sure what will become of Abraham. After a highly successful spell at Bristol City, before a mixed loan to Swansea, it could be seen as make or break for the striker at Aston Villa.
